I got kidnapped for shopping. Hate posting on my phone. Good morning to all.
Ciao, people & Tibby. It's an absolutely beautiful day in Florence. We're going to see a professional football/soccer match his evening.
I apologize for posting what we had for dinner last night at my favorite restaurant in Florence, but I have to share it because it was that awesome. We ate at Osteria Pastella. It's been over 3 years since i ate here due to covid. It's still that good.
I made reservations thru a text, but apparently it didn't work. The place was packed. The lady who decides on who sits and doesn;t sit had sympathy for me and found us a perfect table. Maybe it was my charm, but that doesnt' usually happen here.
We split a caprese salad. didn't get a picture of that.
We decided to split 2 dishes. First on our plate was pappardelle with local wild boar meat marinated on Chianti wine, & pecorino cheese from Pienza. I won't keep saying this but it was incredible as everything was.
Second we had duck breast, pleurotus mushrooms with vermouth & orange.
For wine we couldn't just have one bottle, so we got the house red & white.
For desert I had Tiramisu. This may be the best desert ever made. They bring it out and then pour this sweet cream over it. OMG it's that good.
Amazingly, I have not gained any weight. lol Generally, I have breakfast at the flat and then we go the rest of the day without eating (maybe a yogurt or something like that) until dinner at 9pm. Dinner usually last about 2-2:30 hrs.
We have reservations this wknd here when my brother;s girlfriend arrives. I did slip the young lady a 20 euro bill and she gave us the best seat in the house. I didn't ask her for it. I was thanking her for getting us in tonight and for the reservation this wknd.
I'll leave u people alone. Hope everyone is doing well. Sorry, I didnt read back... I don;t have the time right now. Ciao.
