morning, kat, dale and gracie ;)

    @ kat - how is marsha's cousin?

He is doing okay. They are making plans for in patient rehab. He is confused, at times, and the injury affected his thinking process, but no more swelling or brain bleed. We are all hoping for a full recovery and the doctors are very hopeful of one. Thanks so much for asking. :)

Bear, since I won't have time in the a.m....Here:

5.Repeal and Replace Obamacare Act. Fully repeals Obamacare and replaces it with Health Savings Accounts, the ability to purchase health insurance across state lines, and lets states manage Medicaid funds. Reforms will also include cutting the red tape at the FDA: there are over 4,000 drugs awaiting approval, and we especially want to speed the approval of life-saving medications.

I did a LITTLE research as to what this repeal could entail. A couple interesting blurbs
    are here:

Repeal Would Be Even Worse Than Obamacare
    and
Trump Can Kill Obamacare With Or Without Help From Congress

My takeaway is that it's "only" pieces and parts that could be changed quickly.
And those parts that could be put in force quickly will not do very much to change
premiums. (Unless I'm missing - or not understanding - some key wording.)

But yeah... the thing about HSAs. Does he expect people slightly above the poverty
line (ie: NOT medicaid-eligible BUT truly just scraping by?) to actually put money into
an HSA? Yeah. That will work. Oh... and what is the financial difference (to the
people) between funding an HSA or paying premiums (except the small tax break
    involved)?

His plan (would we now call it "TrumpCare?") looks to be a ways off. It will not be
    overnight.

    ..........

^ Overabundance of air quotes and parentheses... apologies.

    ..........

    Good Thursday Morning to everybody!

    morning, bear and atty ;)

and for bear: Enrollment opened on Nov. 1 for 2017 coverage and once those plans are purchased, it would be legally difficult for Trump to cancel them before the one-year contracts run out, said Molina Healthcare Chief Executive Officer Dr. Mario Molina.
