Called and am getting "senior discount" on
2023 trash pickup. 20% off services, but
does not include fuel surcharge and some
other fee. Ended up being 16% off total.
I wonder what some of you pay for trash
pickup in other parts of the country.
Mine was going to be $650, but down to
$545 after calling.
I will have to call EVERY YEAR. It does
not carry over. Maybe they hope I will
forget NEXT year due to my aging memory.
Cannot do it online, oh no, would be too
easy.
If I am a senior THIS YEAR, I am only guessing
I'd be a senior NEXT YEAR as well. But I gotta
let them know / remind them.
Yes, there are two (2) lower-cost alternatives
but they both include limits on what they will
pick up and/or how much per week. Pay extra
for "extra" stuff.

bill buried in their property taxes. It should
be a line item.
In that case, it's non-negotiable. You pay
what they charge.
Unless you rent, then only God would know.
Still curious what the "going rate" is, above
or below the Mason-Dixon line.

but many many many angry people on the
neighborhood FB group. And nobody seems
to be paying the same as anybody else. So,
I don't know. Some pay by month, some pay
by quarter, some pay by 6 months, some pay
annually. What the hell??? x3 companies.
Oh and by the way: You cannot co-op here
with a neighbor (share trash). Each address
must be linked to a trash company or disposal

I think we pay a little less than 200 a year for trash pick up

60 dollars added to property taxes yearly but that's not for actual pick-up. supposedly, it helps pay for the 'convenience centers' where you can dump your trash yourself. not sure what private haulers charge - i'm too far out of town (5 miles) to even get a quote
