Good morning, Mad, Atty & CES

G'mornin, snails!

OBG, glad you didn't see too much damage yesterday afternoon. Bummer that one of my king sago plants was blown off the porch ledge and had half of its stems snapped by the fall...the snowball bush (no idea what the real name of it is) in my backyard also had half of its branches damaged by the wind. If you were to take a knife to a head of broccoli, stop just short of slicing it in half from the top and instead smoosh the florets to the side, that's what it'd look like.
That is so disheartening, Mad..

I think the snowball bush to which you refer may be a hydrangea!

    Viburnum.

There are many varieties, but not hydrangea.

This is the one on the property here:
PlantFiles Pictures: Doublefile Viburnum, Japanese Snowball Bush 'Summer Snowflake' (Viburnum plicatum var. tomentosum) by bootandall

It did not bloom this year.

Nor did the dwarf weeping cherry.

And neighbour's maple (not the mutant one) did not cast spinners.

Oh dear! That is a shame none of them bloomed...I have had years where it *seemed* as though the specimens went dormant then came back.....who knows?

Oh, are you a member of Dave's Garden? Been a member there since '03....made some special friendships with the Florida folk IRL.

Not a member... just the first image I found of the specific
    viburnum in the yard.

If the past Wintrer had been brutal, I'd understand the fall-
set buds being killed. But it was not a bad Winter at all.
Even two of 3 hydrangea winter-killed right down to all-
    new growth this Spring.

By contrast, the oak leaf hydrangea has bloomed like never
before. I stopped counting blooms at 24 or so.

    Checking off chores.

Listening for phone to ring re: PC is ready.

Wow! I am sitting here in shock. I am in no way prepared for DIY. Going to have to take out a loan to purchase liquids to get me through until I learn DIY. 40% UNREAL!
Oh for frack sake. ;) Clam down. Chill pill.

I wish I could take a video of my DIY process, you'd fall over laughing. But here it is:

Take a 20 ml plastic bottle, take off the top.

(carefully, don't spill) pour a bit of 100 mg/ml nic into it until it looks about 1/10 full.
Dump some flavoring of choice in (I often go unflavored).
Put in a couple drops of water.
Pour in some PG until it looks right (depends on ratio).
Fill the rest with VG and leave a air-gap for a bubble on the top. Put top on and shake. Shake. Shake.

    That's a 10mg solution.

    Pffft.
If it's vapable, I'm happy. And it's all vapable. ;)

Steeping is just doing that in advance.

Where do you get your flavoring?

I still have not opened the starter kit from NN except to
check the contents of the box. But, once I GET MY DAMN
COMPUTER BACK, I'll order a liter (or two) of "armored"
100mg nic base before 08aug16. Just in case.

If I never UPGRADED TO WIN10, this never would have
happened. :glare:ing at the suggestions of doing so.

Oh and I am not upgrading my desktop to Win 10.
I was doing quite alright until prompted to create a user ID and PW
for their game area WITH NO INDICATION AT ALL IT WOULD TAKE
    OVER MY ENTIRE HARD DRIVE.

And another thing... after doing the upgrade, MS not ONCE suggested
creating a recovery disk set. Nope.
