morning, you people. Happy Friday especially for those who have worked all week and don't have to work this weekend.
I have been busy trying to find the right dog. It has been a lot of work... but I am happy to announce that I am 95% done. I have finally found the breeder that I feel very confident will get me the best pup I can get. I am getting ready to put a deposit down today/tomorrow.
As mentioned, I have been looking for a Border Collie. Welp, I have deviated from that a little. lol It is a dog that shows almost all of the same traits as the BC, but with a little more guard dog in it. It's a Belgian Malinois. Super intelligent and athletic like the BC, but a little more lethal. The pups are getting ready to be born in the next a couple of days and then will be ready for delivery around the first of Oct. I can't even explain how excited I am. It's even been a little emotional and I haven't even seen the pup I am going to get. I have been waiting for this a very long time. By the way, the breeder is former military and law enforcement K9. Very accomplished with the credentials to show. Here's what the pup will look like--obviously not the one I am getting but a representation.

You can count on that and you may come to regret that request. LOL It'll be my newborn child and who doesn't overly post pics of their first child? There's no guarantee from the breeder on sex of the pup but I have requested a female because I prefer a smaller dog (60lbs).Good morning Pepper and snails.

I believe I have come up with a name that will work for either a male or female. I want a one syllable name to make it easier, especially during training. If it's a ....., her name will be Samantha P. Coltrane--Sam for short. If it's a male, his name will be Samuel P. Coltrane. --Sam for short. I'm fairly certain no one on this site has any idea what gave me the idea for that full name?
P.S. I will be speaking with the breeder at lunch today to confirm everything and sign the contract with the down payment. It's almost over. And thank God for that. You people can't imagine how many hours I have put into this. Now onto the RV trailer. I have narrowed it down to 3 models from 3 different manufacturers. I'm not doing anything until I attend the country's biggest RV show of the year in Hershey, Pa. in September. Have a great day, people.
I am happy to announce I am the owner of a new baby. The interview went well for both of us. He was impressed with my knowledge of the dog and approach to training it. The contract has been signed and the deposit made. He will notify me as soon as the pups are born with pics. He said he would guarantee me a female, too. I'm beat. It's been a long haul, but thank God it's over. On to Hershey, Pa. Thx, u people for your patience with the Pepper.
