I am still waiting for "final approval" for my 2017 claimed adjusted
gross income. What they saw for 2015 flew in its face, so they became
pissy. I wrote an addendum to the 1040 pointing out that a dividend
"windfall" in 2015 was an anomaly... one time... unexpected... not to be
duplicated in 2017. It's like trying to have an educated conversation with
a sloth.

Received this in morning eMail:

"A notice has been sent to your inbox in your account. This notice tells you important information
you need to know about your health coverage for you and/or your family.
You must log into your account on the NY State of Health website to read the notice."

They want me to "log into [my] account on the NY State of Health website to read the notice"
but the website is closed. What total nimrods. What maroons.

That aside... I wonder what horrors and terrors await once I'm able to get in.

Why can't they just SEND THE NOTICE in eMail???

First upload of 1040 back in November was THE FILE sent
to the Feds via H&R Block software. In looking at it, the
software never put an electronic signature (or date) on it.
So... how in the hell was that even accepted by the Feds
as valid???

SECOND upload of 1040 on 03dec16 had an electronic (ie:
typed) signature added... after figuring out how to do it.

TODAY'S phone call yielded the answer that I must MANUALLY
sign it. OK... print Page 2, sign, scan, upload. Oh no no no
no no!!! No! No!! I must print Pages 1-18, sign ONLY Page 2,
scan all of them (into ONE file) and re-upload. That made my
face get all screwed up and the mouth demanded somebody
higher up. OK... they'll be happy with just Pages 1 and 2.
