Sorry to hear that MadO. Hope you're all better now. Those Christmas colds/flu are the worst! Did you get a flu shot?

No...I never have and most likely never will. I guess it's the whole idea of our immune system's response to viruses vs. bacteria. *shrug* This is the first flu bug that I haven't been able to overcome within 48 hours in a long time.

No...I never have and most likely never will. I guess it's the whole idea of our immune system's response to viruses vs. bacteria. *shrug* This is the first flu bug that I haven't been able to overcome within 48 hours in a long time.

This is why, as we age, it's better to get the flu shot. Why it's also recommended for seniors (not calling you one) or people with compromised immune systems. It's a "dead" virus, so it can't infect you, but it primes your immune system.

I have a very minor egg allergy, but I STILL get the shot, just because I believe in building up resistance to bad-stuff, particularly when it's a no-risk-easy-win.

Speaking of birthdays... tomorrow is Dad's, but we're getting together
later today. I'll do errands, then we'll go out for dinner, then back to
his place for cake and ice creamies.

Then Friday is Hubs'. I should suggest he meet me at some restaurant
after he leaves work. Cake and ice creamies once back to the house.

vacation...sorta. doing at least one thing around the house every day. Fixed a kinked hose on the dishwasher yesterday, worked a couple of hours at job 2. Did get to see Rogue one. It sadly turned out to be an appropriate day to go see it.

today is oven cleaning. oh joy...books and streaming videos for the rest of the day
