poor, poor bear

all appendages crossed!
@ atty > i'm ready for my official dunce report

oil leak on lawn mower has been traced and is no longer a
threat!
recap - a few weeks ago oil light started flashing and since it coincided with bil's visit i sent him down to the garage to check this out. his report > oil level seemed to be ok but, as a precaution, he topped it off anyhow!

soon after i noticed an oil leak on the garage floor. with no fellas around i decided i'd first drain the oil. then i found reports online that occasionally the oil drain plug on this motor leaks. out came the instructions to locate that drain and, lo and behold, here was the explanation of my flashing light! the light will flash for 2 hours of operation, from 50 hours to 52 hours, to signal it's time for an oil change

so, it appeared to me there was a real possibility that dear bil's 'topping off' was finding its way out

this has now been confirmed - no new oil splatters on the garage floor

i'm wearing my official dunce cap and decided i will follow kawasaki's recommendation to change the oil at 100 hrs. mostly, because i still haven't figured out this oil drain business!
