Her (correct) point was that many there were not there to riot. But that was an aside to the point that the rioters (however many there were) ended up ruining the whole event not only for the guest-speaker but for the protestors too.
So we both agree that there were many peaceful protestors. But the point was that the riot that day was embarrassing to Berkley and their long-standing tradition of free speech and debate.
Basically the point was rioters suck.
