I didn't upgrade, nor do I have any intentions of doing so.....it works! I push a button, it fires in w mode, and I'm happy! I never have, nor ever will plug any device into my computer......that's why there are external chargers!

The new software has an easier-to-read display for wattage mode. There's a "smart mode" (gotta read up on that) and the customizable logo. lol.

What’s new in firmware V1.01?



1. New interface for VW mode:

The new interface for VW mode displays resistance of coil, wattage setting and battery bar more clearly, allowing you to have a check easily by a simple glance.



2. Smart mode:

The Smart mode will save one output power setting for each resistance value and can totally save ten groups of such profiles. Once you change the output power setting for a resistance, it will re-save the changed setting automatically. When the Smart mode has already remembered ten profiles and you want to add another new resistance, the first saved profile will be deleted.



3. Custom logo:

You can download or make logos to your preference and put the favorite one in the mod. The logo should be single color picture in the format of bmp with limited 96*16 pixel.

Apparently, "smart mode" is for switching toppers. It remembers settings for different resistances.

So when you unscrew one type of topper, and put on another with a different resistance, it restores your setting for that resistance (remembers 10)

Got it. You have to hold it down for 2 seconds (fire button and '-' button simultaneously for 2 sec)
