I called the vet earlier and T'mato's caregiver is off until Tuesday. So,
I spoke with another vet that I've dealt with in the past at the same
practice. Asked about possibility of pain, mentioned zero eating. She
said he could be not eating due to pain... but it's pain that will probably
never resolve. She offered a pain med to try... and I accepted mainly
because if he's going down, I want his usual vet to do it. The med may
help alleviate any pain he MAY be experiencing until she is back in the
office.
Maybe I should not be concerned with WHO does it (when it NEEDS to
be done). But I have a bit of loyalty to the usual doctor. Then again,
I'm sure they are not like hairdressers and would not take it (too?)
personally.

I now have a huge pile of split firewood in the yard to pick up and pile but no desire to do so.
