    Hey @CES...
You might have to get good with electronics soon.... :p
    Cool Science Stuff
Link to embedded article-->> IBM Creates Artificial Neurons That Learn By Themselves

Historically, AI is a simulator...where a program(s) "runs through" each neuron/synapse and "does the math" iteratively. Like calculating an array of data. But with this new tech, the individual "circuits" operate on their own probably in parallel. So that's a HUGE breakthrough. Like silicon-based life would have I'd suppose.

After absorbing that, you know what surprised me the most? This quote:
“If you look at the human brain, we have 100 billion neurons, and each neuron has 10,000 synapses. So if you want to make a processor with that many elements it would be a daunting task. It would be extremely interesting to bring down the size of these devices, as well as the area consumption. So this is major selling point for our work.”
Each neuron has 10,000 synapses? Wow. Those are the "gap" things in nerves, right? And they play a role in all the connecting-up too. Sounds real complex.

IDK what IBM's version has. It's more than just all those neurons, it's all those synapse thingys.
