No... that link (pointing to a video of a friend who was on local news last
night) and the accompanying text was much much much too easy for
a creepy stalker to back-track and point an a-ha finger to me!!! (I should
know because I tried it... and then came back hastily to edit it out.)
Amazing how lots of things on the internet are so closely linked. Scary, too.

...and not saying any of YOU are creepy stalkers. But let's not fool ourselves...
there are a lot of lurkers in this thread from "the other side of the tracks".

(Yeah... YOU, for instance.) :glare: (I know you're there.)

    Be patient with me, Snails.
I just worry about ya particularly along the FL coast. Now, I know you know more about your particular situation than I do, but I think this is worth posting as a general caution, because we humans have an ability to deny the reality of things sometimes.

This storm is predicted to strengthen back up again due to the warm waters, somewhere between a cat 3 and cat 4. So predicted winds right now through Saturday are 130 MPH. Now, NOAA says:
    For up to 130 mph:
Devastating damage will occur: Well-built framed homes may incur major damage or removal of roof decking and gable ends. Many trees will be snapped or uprooted, blocking numerous roads. Electricity and water will be unavailable for several days to weeks after the storm passes.
And if it goes over that (this is for 130-156)
Catastrophic damage will occur: Well-built framed homes can sustain severe damage with loss of most of the roof structure and/or some exterior walls. Most trees will be snapped or uprooted and power poles downed. Fallen trees and power poles will isolate residential areas. Power outages will last weeks to possibly months. Most of the area will be uninhabitable for weeks or months.
Saffir-Simpson Hurricane Wind Scale: Tropical Cyclone Categories
Maybe this is "normal" for you guys, but really, think about visiting the kiddies up North if you're anywhere near where these winds are going. It's currently projected to hit land around Cape Canaveral.
The latest NHC model has Matthew making landfall around Cape Canaveral, Florida and traveling northward over land towards Daytona Beach, Florida, before exiting back out over the Atlantic Ocean.
Hurricane-force winds extend outward up to 45 miles (75 km) from the center of the tropical cyclone and tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 175 miles (280 km).

NHC projects that Matthew will remain at the following wind speed through this week:

    130 MPH Thursday (Category 3)
    130 MPH Friday (Category 3)
    130 MPH Saturday (Category 3)
    105 MPH Sunday (Category 2)
    90 MPH Monday (Category 2)

If I hear that any of you died in this Hurricane, I'm gonna haunt you in the afterlife, chew'n ya out. Just say'n. ;)

I know, it's none of my business, but dang, make sure you know how bad this one is relative to what you know your area has taken before. Remember that Katrina weakened to cat 3 before hitting LA, and still, wow. 130 MPH is the upper end of cat 3.

(Sorry for worrying. Just be safe and THINK.)
