The problem with ANY kind of pet discipline is that it must be
administered AS THE BAD BEHAVIOUR IS HAPPENING. Waiting
even 5 seconds, they will not associate the "NO!"/"BAD!"/water-
spray with what they did. To make it even more complicated,
if it's 1 bad cat and 1 good cat, whatever you do is also inflicted
on the good cat.

So... I'm thinking she needs to be picked up, "NO NO NO" and
"BAD BAD BAD" all the way to "her" room, and have the door
closed. Put her in solitary for a while.

It is a fine line, for sure. You are so right. You have to catch them IN the act, immediately.
When I had all 3 dogs, correcting Maddy OR Puggers was really difficult. You've had plenty of experience with this stuff, Bear. I'm sure you'll work it out or Clare/Clair/Claire will be finding a new forever home.

    Hey @daleron,

What's the sign for either A) Egg on face or B) Facepalm? ;) (planning a sarcastic/ironic sign in good fun)
Oh gee  " egg on your face " is a hearing thing I don't think we have an equivalent for other than "embarrassed ", face palm would be the same as

It would be easier for me to say if I knew the whole sentence so as to get the context correct :?:

There's a dedicated sign for bacon?
(What am I thinking, of COURSE there is. Because BACON!!!!!!!!!!!)

    P.S.
Who invented the stupid "EGG" sign?
 Why a deaf person of course

Atty ... “I have a language expertise,” Magee said. “I don’t have the cultural expertise (Hurdich) has.” ;)

    Evasive.
Besides, there's only two unique letters in "EGG". But someone decided the sign should be "flatten out" or "spread out".
Amazes me you can learn that stuff. I'd be lost, for the same reason that spelling is often illogical (at least without knowing all the roots and history).

Um, actually it's suppose to represent the cracking of an egg ;)

It's actually easier to follow an ASL signer than some of the other forms as it is much more expressive and visual :) (for me anyway)

We're just about done here....have a few last minute things to tuck away outside later on and then we're ready.

We met with our neighbors and we have a tentative plan as long we can stay voluntary evac. No news to the contrary right now, but keeping an ear out for that. They have a generator and two freezers, so that's all good. Made the last trip to the store to get C cells for weather radio and some more non-perishables.

I just dread the wind.......last hurricane back in '04, I stayed in the 'safe room' with our dog Shaka with pillows over my head cause the sound was horrendous and this hurricane sounds like it's going to be a repeat or even worse than '04.

Miraculously, the only damage we sustained back then were some fallen tree limbs.....

OK.....break over and have to get some other stuff done.

    Wish us well!

I forgot about how much noise there is.
Already feeling the pressure - tho not sure, it might be that front that is coming down too.

My thoughts and best wishes to both of you, ladies. Stay safe, evacuate if you must. This storm is bad....
