temps in the mid-50's and 50-something days without rain here. Brought the potted plants in yesterday, because we eventually will get frost.

it's definitely sour grapes! look at the results county by county! and i'm not a friend of trump 
even in the states that went to clinton there's an awful lot of red!
( blue vs red tends to be urban vs rural- with a few exceptions. thus the blue dots carried the popular vote, and the red will carry the electoral college)
Those of us that live in rural America aren't surprised at all.
