I think the main reasons they worry about it are:

Vascular constriction,
Reduced healing,
Other physiological things that smokers (and former) have...maybe also interaction with anesthetist. I would think for THIS process though, there's virtually no bleeding and little anesthesia concern. So ?????????????

Actually, it's a personal question I have about my ophthalmologist.

Well, since I've come this far.............I answered NO to the question of whether I used tobacco.........but, it has me wondering if I should reduce or suspend usage of the nic till after the deed is done. Not sure I can do that.....but......

I'd rather not tell him outright that I vape, cause, well, you know about those insurance companies.......

I was still smoking cigarettes when I had my eyes done and it didn't matter. So no you don't have to

You would think, huh? But my BF had both eyes done recently and is still a smoker. She didn't stop at all. And healed wonderfully.
