Quick pass-by...
...all tree work completed in about 3 hours. The guys cleaned up pretty
well, so nothing really added to Spring clean-up... whenever THAT might
take place.
The business owner quoted a price, so that's what I put on the check.
What he did NOT say is "plus tax". So when he handed me the invoice, it
included tax. I said I'd be right back with cash to cover the tax. He said
to not worry about it... and that I got a deal. (Tax was almost $200.)
Dad is still without cable... but at least he has power.
The latest is that repair are taking longer because the utilities are fresh
out of poles. Still 10s of 1000s without power and it is getting pretty darn
cold around here.
No Oreo today.
But his gal-pal has been around. They usually stick
together.
Did anniversary shopping (23rd, this coming Monday). It's hard to be creative
and/or ingenious and/or inspired when - really - we are not wanting for
anything major in particular.

But now I need to think about what to put in that spot. NOTHING that
will grow any taller that 12'. We will miss the shade of the pine in the hot
sunny Summer months. I also have to consider how close it is to the
property line and not have it encroach. Plenty of time to think about it.

I finally "caved" somewhat...pulled the trigger and bought two of the Luuup litter boxes (buy 2, get 1 free). Hopefully, the two fuzzies don't mount protests during the transition...
