Good morning y'all
the construction saga stalls again...we have the hole for the footers dug, and the concrete was supposed to be poured yesterday, except that the city offices closed for good friday, meaning no inspector to inspect the hole, so no concrete till tuesday. (the christmas holidays also slowed us down. so much for separation of church and state)
in the meantime, one side of the hole is crumbling and there's water in the bottom (even though it hasn't rained for >1 week, hoping it doesn't rain on Mon or Tuesday)
this entire time, the fastest pace has been one step per week, at most. At this rate it'll take another year (but it has to speed up soon ,doesn't it?)
sigh. it'll get done. eventually

She just stopped and starred at the camera for 30 seconds while a 2nd giraffe is pacing outside.
It's like "What the heck are YOU looking at?"....
