Yes. I tried that gingerly. Saw a bunch of youtube videos too. I don't want to bend the rim. But I may have to get nastier, hit the tire and risk busting up the tire, and/or drive it with slightly loose lug-nuts to break it free.
Those are the ideas so far, along with kicking the hell out of it.

Fran (and DH?) were right both times.
I drove it around with loose lug nuts, and THEN beat the heck out of it with a sledge. The combo worked, so meh.
