Some of those are 14 bucks or whatever. I mean, it's in a closet and you don't have to "fix up" the drywall.

Just say'n. ;)
Right! If they cut out the piece of drywall nicely enough,
it can just be put back into place and "secured" with a
couple screws in the gap. In closet. Hidden. It's never
needed access since the house was built... will probably
never need access again in my lifetime. (The current
fixtures were "sweated" during bathroom remodel in '85
and that shower wall put in after the plumbing... and
no way am I having them remove the shower wall. Not
happening.)

Hus wants the hot/cold shutoffs in the closet access spot.
I want them in the basement. He says if the tub/shower
goes Crazy Daisy*, quick access is needed. I said that the
tub/shower has NEVER gone Crazy Daisy* and the shutoffs
should go where ALL the OTHER shutoffs are located.

Good morning, Precious Bear. You made me laugh out loud at all your plumbing, etc stories. Thank you!!!:wub: And if you ever need access, you can just unscrew that board, right?

    in the 60s??? (Oh, that's right... you're a young'un.)

One wheel done. Parts fit if you're not pulling stupid-human tricks.
A good night's sleep, breakfast, and a sunny semi-warm day does miracles for the thinking cap.
Didn't wreck anything. So all is good. So far. Thank God.
    Taking a break.

    Hi snails. Flyby.
