Long overdue, but... "Good Morning", gang!
It looks like just about everybody here has been handed some
kind of unpleasantness during the last few weeks. I am only
able to hope "things" settle down as best as possible so we can
enjoy the Summer months.
I've just been very very busy and looking forward to a day or two
to simply sit outside and exhale.
And, it would NOT be June without the annual "Father's Day See-
I-Told-You-So". I was going to post a week or so ago and say
"watch how Father's Day will be the first 90-degree (+) day in
the area". Well, we had an official 90 day last week. However,
it appears this coming Sunday will be the SECOND 90+ day.
I just do NOT understand WHY the "third June Sunday" is required
to be simply miserable and uncomfortable outdoors when Dad
comes over for the cookout.
I will be telling Dad today that we can have appetizers and dessert
outside, but I really want to eat the main course in the comfort of
air conditioning. I (and hubs) just can not take the heat and
humidity. WHY on THAT day ANNUALLY? It was 92 last year and
91 the year before. The average is around 78. What's wrong with
average?
Well... guess it's back to giving the indoors a good cleaning and
checking things off the to-do list.
