G'mornin, snails...

The back-to-school thing must really be throwing people for a loop. Yesterday morning, I think there were accidents on each of the major highways in all directions except one. Omw to work this morning, there was one in the opposite direction, same general area. This one looked bad...hope everyone involved was ok. :(

Oh yeah, all the cooler temps means check your tire pressures!

"Hus" is off today and tomorrow (to work the church crap sale), so
we did breakfast out. First time since 2012... could be 2013.

You know what... restaurants are WAY out of hand in the price
department. $2.50 for coffee??? $13.69 for an OMELET?!?!
B:censored:D that it included pancakes. His glass of v8 $3.09.

And yet people just jam the places!!!

Anyway... he's off to the sale and I'm getting chores done so I can
park my .... out on the deck in <70-degree pleasantness.

GOOD MORNING to all here in Snails!!! :)

People don't shop-and-cook as much anymore. Many millennials order their dinners in a box that they can cook out of, all packaged per meal. Seniors get meals on wheels, or they go out and order from the senior menu (are you quoting senior prices? ;) )

The stores throw 1/2 of their non-boxed stuff out. Sometimes they have great sales too, to move merchandise, but mostly they keep the prices high.

And restaurants are a low-profit margin business. Many fail due to that or lack of volume. Either of which results in higher prices. I think it's about HOW people spend money these days as much as it is about IF they have any.

The millennials (scapegoats) aren't real fond of sit-down places and tipping and service. For some reason. At least that's the rumor.
