Daughter & hubby arrived safely, and I'll have intermittent times on the net. We have lots to do; looking forward to it all.
@AttyPops. I'm on my Android tablet, and I want to use auto fill as I do on my phone. Have googled but no luck there. Gone thru settings to no avail. The dumb tablet actually suggests my mispelled words and it takes too long to make a post, sjch as thks one. See what I mean? Help, please!

I don't really do android OS. But I will try to google around and help. I'm working blind, though. I assume you're using the default browser. You may PM me the make/model of the tablet if you wish, or just post it. Also OS version if you know it.

G'mornin, snails...

Rain...for the rest of the week...and gloom, can't forget the gloom. :glare:

Last night, I actually wanted to unfriend people on FB and just considered shutting down my account. But I'd miss all the cat related content too much if I did that. :p

@Flowersoul This article is food for thought, and also talks about browser features like auto complete and spell check (briefly).
The 7 best browsers for Android
That's just tip of the iceberg...more to come, but I need your browser and OS version (and device info, ideally) so I know what I'm researching.

Good morning Gracie and have a wonderful visit with your family!!! :)
More than just a visit Kat! Sold their home in Tampa, and looking at condos near us, so they will be with us for a while. We all get along quite well, and there's enough room for everyone to have their privacy when needed.

my f/b page is so boring now since I have opted to not read/see a LOT of negative BS. Gardening, animals, and nutrition are now my only feeds. Didn't 'unfriend' anyone just opted not to see their posts.

OK for starters:
https://www.androidcentral.com/how-manage-chromes-autofill-feature
Open the settings menu and scroll down to Advanced Settings. Click to open them.

  • In the Passwords and Forms section, click the Manage Autofill settings link.
  • To add an address, click Add new street address.
  • To add a credit card, click Add new credit card.
  • To edit an existing address or credit card, hover over its entry and click Edit.
  • To delete an address or credit card, hover over its entry and click Delete.
  • Click Done when you're finished.

Changing your Autofill data on the Android version of Chrome is almost the same. You'll need to open the settings and tap the Autofill forms entry to find your existing data or add new data. Once open, you'll see the same data as the desktop, displayed in a single scrolling list for a better mobile view. Add, edit, or delete your data the same way as mentioned above.

If it's filling in wrong stuff, you have to wipe it and start over (you can't delete individual entries...be careful that you know the passwords first, before erasing it all...since you said it's not working, I don't think this is and issue for you)
Google Groups
That seems to conflict a bit with the instructions above, which indicate that you CAN edit enrties. But either way, that's the "wipe out" set of instructions for auto fill.

Auto correct:
When you're in the keyboard, if you click the arrow on the right it will drop down to give multiple choices. At that point you can hold down the word you want to get rid of, and the normal "*Word* will be removed from learned words." will come up.
Support - Removing a learned word on Galaxy S7
