G'mornin, snails...

More rain, but at least the temps. are comfortable. It's October...it's not supposed to be this warm, right?

morning, mad. nope, it's not unusual to have temps like this at this time of the year unless you live in Oymyakon-Russia. I believe that's where the term Indian summer came from.

Grrrr. What a way to wreck a morning. Just spent 15 minutes trying to contact USPS about cancelling a search for a package.

Remember those eclipse glasses last August? Well, they took over a week to get here, but they DID get here. After 8 days I submitted a search (they arrived a bit mangled on day 9). Anyway, there's NO WAY to cancel a search.

And I'm still getting emails that the search is in progress. Think you could actually talk to a person? Nope. And none of the phone "options" get to a person, that I could find. They all want a tracking number, I don't have one it's a letter! And I have a search # but there's no path to it.

Worse, there's TWO searches, because the website f-ed up. I even sent a "technical support" email a month ago asking for a website option to acknowledge receipt of a seared-for package, and noted they could cancel the searches.
Today...
Thank you for using USPS.com.

We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience.

Thank you for using the U.S. Postal Service®.

Grrr. They've got the whole thing so dumbed down that I can't find a path to a real human. Grrrrr. There's no "Other" options. Grrrrrr. Idiots. Would cost labor to have real people do things I guess (supposedly people ARE available, but do you think there'd be an option to talk to one? no.)

Oh, good morning snails.

Good morning snails

My day started about 3 hours ago but taking time to pop in to say 'yo'.

We're pretty much settled with the 'kids' move in.

Hubby hasn't been feeling up to par so is going through some testing. He's been under a lot of stress since my surgery and my hospitalization and then his two sisters each suffering strokes within three weeks of one another, it has taken its toll.

Ignore it. Let 'em keep searching until the proverbial cows come home (or end
up on your dinner plate, one of the two).

I got THIS last week from USPS...

"Your My USPS® account was recently upgraded to include Informed Delivery® – a
new feature that gives you the ability to see a digital preview of your incoming
mail. Informed Delivery allows you to view images of the exterior, address side
of your household’s letter-sized mailpieces* on a computer, tablet, or mobile
device. As part of the upgrade, you can receive a daily email containing images
of your mailpieces that are arriving soon."

    :glare:
