Somewhat amusing story...my computer and much more so, internet, illiterate father was browsing what could only have been a pr0n site and fell for one of the "you computer is infected" virus pop-ups. So he called the number and talked to someone in the GMT+5:30 zone who told him to buy a $500 Apple iStore gift card at a specific retain chain store. THANK GOD he called me after he got off the phone with that someone...he got a thorough scolding from me.
I don't particularly enjoy telling my parents, "No, it's for your own good" when it comes to certain things. What's ironic is that I'm the one out of the 3 offspring who has to "parent" the parents, even though I'm the only one of the 3 offspring who isn't an actual parent; fur-daddy doesn't really count.

Went back to Flooring Vendor #1 yesterday, returning 2 of 3 samples, and
picking up 2 more. And, just got back from returning all 3 a few minutes ago.
Someone comes out Tuesday to measure and write up the estimate. Now I just
have to decide whether to take out the carpet (it's not glued or secured) and
all base molding ahead of time. They said I do not need to do it, but I think it
would be better for the guy (gal?) to see the bare floor (actually 1960s linoleum
tiles)... to avoid any install-time "gotchas".
I wonder what it's like when they pull out the toilet... what the pipe immediately
under it looks/smells like???
