Despite the cool temp today, getting outside and pruning down the spirea
and remaining hostas.
Pruned down two of the 3 spirea. While doing the 3rd, I angered a bunch
of yellowjackets and got stung twice. So, all those cuttings have been left
in a pile... I'll wait for a VERY frosty day to clean that one up. It's only 54
degrees... they should be pretty darn logy at this point.
I'll tell you what... those little suckers have been a REAL nuisance this past
Summer. And this year, the larger "common wasps" (look like LARGE
yellowjackets) have shown up and have been VERY active the last month or
so. I do not recall THOSE much at all around here.
