I should put masking tape over all the others. Or super-glue them.
It's been PATHETIC.The forum is so slow today... it's painful.

I'm on the super slow laptop. Better than nothing and am so grateful I have it.
exactly! and at least in your case you're not throwing $100+ out of the window!I'll simply stop if it's too much.

OTA is easy, particularly if you try some old rabbit-ears first if you have some. They probably work as well as the supposed new-fangled "HD" antennas. I think HDTV is UHF (or is it VHF) but it's the old high-frequency range stuff. He has to have a new-type TV with a digital tuner though. But he also wants to try over-the-air-only channels for a bit and find out
if he would be happy with just those. (Can't do a roof antenna...
apartment and all... plus, they do not allow dishes, so do not suggest
becoming a "new customer" to DISH or DirectTV.)
I dropped Netflix CD service last month. Was tired of having only 2 CD's per month worth watching (saw most everything already). Now they don't even have 2 new decent ones per month. They have "Netflix originals" instead. Netflix thinks it is Hollywood now. I guess some were well recieved. But still, screw them. If they won't spend money on delivering top-shelf content (or they are getting screwed by content owners) I'll either go without or find it somewhere else.It was 8 bucks a month when we first subscribed. We have cable, but we do like Netflix and both DDs like Netflix, too, so we keep renewing our subscription. IIRC, we started Netflix when the last BlockBuster in our neighborhood closed its doors.![]()
