Had a good time.Got to see the newest addition to the family,10 month old Evelyn. My GD and her dh have a 2 year son as well and a new house.

Soon to be 18 year old GD will be going to college next year,pre-med.She hopes to be a doctor. No doubt in my mind that she'll do it.

Good to see my 2 boys and favorite DIL too and can't forget the 14 year old gd.

@ bear - wonder where ap gets its info :?: this keeps up i'll be convinced that there is an abundance of fake news ;)
    Write to AP and ask!

    Furthermore...

Notice how in one paragraph they say "it's time to renew"... but in the
very NEXT paragraph they essentially say "come back in 2 weeks"???
They are wacko. FIVE YEARS and they STILL do not have their act
    together.

    Merlin update, please.

He gets his liquid antibiotic 2 x a day...I find it hysterical that it's bubblegum smelling.
I have to clean his back end for him since he has the cone on - no licking permitted, then some neosporin.
He's such a good boy and tolerates everything. He prefers to be toilet paper blotted dry then combed after washing
He never acted like he was in pain - but I would sure have been making a fuss if it were me !
She (the vet) was surprised that he is 16, she said he looked very healthy for a cat that age.
He weighed in a little over 10lbs - she said his weight was good...it didn't really hit me till we got home that he used to weigh 18lbs. Tomorrow I will call the other hospital we took him to a few years ago and get from them what he weighed at that time. (I don't remember what he was there for)

We have a new game with his treats - I toss them into his cone and he turns around and dumps it out to eat it.

He can't get to his itches with the cone on...you can here him try for a few seconds (tick, tick, tick...) then he comes running for me to scratch for him.

...did I say that he's such a good boy ?

"My" vet has given an antibiotic injection the last few times.
I'm not SURE if it covers all possible infections. It lasts two
weeks. SO much better than pilling or mixing strange stuff
into their food (which they then never ate). That pink
bubblegummy stuff was disgusting... bet it is for human kids
    (contradiction in terms, BTW).

    Poor coned kitty. :(

and please, let this have been my last mowing and raking adventure! :?: i'm leaving the driveway blowing for tomorrow ;)
I think the raking here is done, too. There's still one smallish
garden area that I've not cleared of old mulch and locust tree
schmutz. Hoping I can work that into errands and chores for
    tomorrow.
