Save the ones that do. I bought all mine long ago so they all come apart. I've never seen one that didn't but I don't have any newer ones either. I haven't broke out a new coil since I learned they can be rebuilt. Sometimes you can just rewick.

I've been VERY VERY negligent in posting lately. Put me on The Naughty List.

Sending a GOOD AFTERNOON out to everybody!... with a long long long-overdue
shout out to my HappyHeavenlyHoliday-ishHumorousHot @Katmar !

    ..........

"Round One" of the forecasted first Winter Blitz has come and gone. Just a
fraction over 8" on the deck picnic table. VERY heavy stuff. Hubs did the
driveway when he got up, so I just had to do the storm remnants... plus the
end-of-driveway plow dump. Shoveled paths for Oreo and Sheba (who have
been using their kitty hut), brushed off DISH, knocked the heavy stuff off all
the foundation evergreens... etc etc etc.

Round Two to start soon with sub-ZERO wind chills and up to 10" more snow.
Already told Dad that the usual Wednesday visit will be put off a day, unless
things fall short of the prediction.

    ..........

Christmas shopping (and two birthdays) done. Now in a wrapping flurry. One
of these years I'll switch to gift bags.

    ..........

Latest communication (30nov17) from Town Code Enforcement was not quite
what I expected. We have a new Supervisor and two new Board members being
seated 01jan18. I researched their soon-to-be official eMail addresses. With
that ^ above-mentioned communication, the problem is no longer the neighbors.
The problem is now "Code Enforcement"... an oxymoron, a contradiction in
terms. And I am NOT just going away on THAT. I have the eMail conversation
and will be sharing it with others higher up.

    ..........

This will be the first year with snow tires on all four. Two brandy-new ones on
back, the old ones on the front. (Rear-wheel drive.) I'm sure I'll be finding out
if it makes any difference. My guess is NOT. That car, for whatEVER reason,
will go in whichever direction IT WANTS in the snow. Always has. Terrifying.

    ..........

    @classwife ... MERLIN UPDATE, please!!!

Merlin has a 4:00 follow up visit today...I don't know if the histopathology report is back yet or not.
His bottom looks really nasty - and they don't want me to clean him at all ! Seriously, Iv'e been through so many surgeries I know quite well how to clean things...they probably just want to charge me for cleaning him...

Have you ever tried to hold a cat and apply cold and warm packs ? Yea...RIGHT !!!
I did end up getting creative...he likes to sit on the dresser in the front room and look out the window...good opportunity to slip a pack under the tail at that time and do some snuggling to stay put

We try to not laugh at him when he grooms his cone (cause he can't reach anything else to groom). Grooming is such a set in behavior !
I have taken off the cone when I see him do this and sat by him to let him groom yet stop him and put the cone back on if he heads for the rear.

He's such a good boy

Merlin had his bottom cleaned up at is appointment. Everything looks really good, healing nicely.
Xray final report show a slight deformity of his heart - not a worry, and a small kidney stone, again not a worry.
    No masses.
The histopathology report was not there yet, maybe Friday.
He had such a perky face when we got home...I think he's really happy to have a clean bottom !

Yay for Merlin getting his bottom all cleaned up and healing.

@Stoneface hope you find exactly what you're looking for......seems you got good input from Fran & Katya. I'll second the recommendations for the STM and the Ego One with the CLR coils which are so very easy to rebuild......and not that often, either......rewick and you're done for a long while.

Hi Snails, haven't had any time on the puter since yesterday.......it's a hit and miss type of situation........busy, then some respite, and by that time, I'm ready for bed.
