2) However, see https://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/threads/patch-your-intel-systems.845269/ . Despite the title, there's an issue that impacts almost ALL processors, from Intel to AMD to ARM. It's the NEXT generation (not out yet) of processors that will have a FIX in them. Supposedly. So if you can delay your purchase and get a new processor when they come out, that's a good plan.
You might be able to "risk it" and just buy a current one with a current CPU socket and hope the next-gen chips are socket compatible (and take the hit for buying a new cpu later). OR maybe hope that Intel/AMD will issue new versions of the chips for older sockets. But I'd wait a bit and see how all this crap shakes out. Too new. If you wait, you won't have to buy an "old" cpu with "issues" (Bear's favorite word).

At least we parked the car at the end of the driveway, so all she had to do was make a path to the car and around the car and in front of the car and clean the car!!!! I'm tired just thinking of it!
