Single tumor .Hasn't spread. No cirrhosis.Chemo first then radiation. It's a large tumor that's grown completely around the bile ducts,a couple blood vessels and a nerve that it's pinching which accounts for all the pain.
(((frannie))) no words :( but you have to keep hubs going and yourself! let's hope the experts will come up with a treatment plan that can shrink that tumor to a manageable size.

Good evening Snails :)

(((Fran))) It's really good to hear that you now have some sort of diagnosis and now they can actually tackle the problem. It's an unfortunate (to say the least) problem. Hopefully the treatments will bring some relief and healing. It's great to hear that they will give him a port so that you don't have to stick him with needles constantly.

Hubs has first appointment and it's at the main hopspital so I'm assuming they can do a stent and biopsy at the same time. Wish hubs would ask more questions but they could do just the biopsy in Keene.
    When is his appointment, Fran?
((HUGS)) to you both!! I bet you are both BEYOND exhausted. Neither of you had much sleep last night!

Good evening and goodnight Snails. Sleep well, sweet dreams and a better day tomorrow for all...PLEASE! :)

    Hi Dale :)

I did, thank you. How was yours? I talked to a friend of mine on the phone today. She bought a 1 pound brisket...have you ever heard of such a thing??? I told her to double check and make sure it's beef :D
Mine was great but then it was my day off ;)

:?: No, can’t say I’ve ever seen a one pound brisket  Guess it was a single mans roast

It sounded awfully small to me (almost not worth it), but she just cooks for herself and DH. She also quoted a slow cooker recipe that called for a quarter cup of Liquid Smoke...I warned her that I thought that would be way too much for her little brisket, LOL. I can't wait to hear her review of it after she make that recipe

So sorry, Frannie! But, like others have said, at least you have a diagnosis and can start working on a treatment/containment/maintenance.... Best wishes for both of you!
