Power just blinked off then on, just enough to have to reset everything. Grrrr.

It will warm up in a few days if you have oil. Don't kill anyone with an icy metal roof, eh? Nice of them to volunteer though.
I'd use the oil if available until no-ice/rain.

Oh! Me? Yes gas heat, but that's no good without electricity to circulate it. Furnace control board is electric too.

But what I also have is A GENERATOR. Thank God.

Usually, if there's an extended outage, I haul out the generator and fire it up. So right about then, the power comes back on. (You know how THAT kind of stuff usually works out.) I don't always know the mains are back on though. Have to ask/watch the neighbors. lol. (the mains get cut off at the panel before the generator is started).
