Not a single mow here yet!

"April 20" (+ or - a couple days) is my average first-mow date.

Ain't happening this year for a couple reasons...

...first, I MUST rake all the problem areas. I'm tossing in the towel
for a complete pre-mow rake this year. And, actually, things are in
better shape than usual.

...second, it doesn't NEED it! Pretty sure it won't be until May 1st or
very close either way. Fine by me.

i think bear is in the same miserable position as you, frannie there's got to be an end to this!

On Friday (20th), the weather-person said we had 15 of 20
days with measurable snow. 0.1" or more. And, at that
point, this has been the 2nd coldest April on record.

Well, the couple of times I got to open my car's sunroof was nice; didn't have one on the two cars owned from '00 - '17. Doubtful I'll be able to open it for the rest of the month without being "uncomfortable" while driving.

Car stuff.

Last Tuesday, FedEx dropped off* the replacement exhaust system.
So as to NOT disappoint me, Borla sent the WRONG system!!!

Yay! They sure know how to fulfill prophecies.

So, called Borla and explained what happened. They arranged home
pick-up of the error and re-placed the order. But, I had to cancel
Thursday's installation appointment and felt like a schmuck. I won't
re-schedule until the right one arrives.

* - the one delivered was for a 2017-2018 Charger, and they go for
just over $1600 retail. Was a signature required??? No. I find that
very odd... and just a BIT risky on somebody's part.

"Only" 59 here today, but you bet I had front and back doors

dh should be better by morning - his bronchitis flared up and that usually throws him for a loop. but antibiotics and prednisone kick in pretty fast to get him back to feeling better

Now isn't THAT coincidental!!!

Hubs: Started his annual bronchitis thing on the 12th. (Which went
to pneumonia last year because he...) ...waits until the 20th to
actually take a day off from work and get to the doc. 8 days. He's on
pred, some antibiotic, and controlled-substance cough suppressant.
Now stuck with him here at home tomorrow and Tuesday.

Me: Stewing in The House Of Germs and Heebie-Jeebies, feel something
not so good happening last Monday. Wake up Tuesday with sore throat,
sense of hearing all but gone on both sides, throbber of one earache, and
corked-up nasal breathing. I say to myself that I'm too old to just tough
it out anymore and get in to see the doc on the 19th. 2 days. (One ear
was leaking something nasty green-grey on its own, so that was a good
clue.) So I am on pred, an antibiotic, and ear drops.

*I* do not get days off from work, by the way.

sure hope husbear will recover soon! i'm a little envious though of that 'annual thing' - dh here at a flare-up the end of january, middle of march and now in april
