So, it was a year ago today that I had my surgery. Today I celebrate being free from cancer for a year. Always lurking, but only on the outer edges of my mind. It was good to wake up in my own bed today, pick up Maddy and love her, hear the birds singing and having a smile on my face. It was also good to reflect on how fortunate I was to have an excellent surgeon and team of doctors and nurses who were always there to answer ANY question and ease my mind. And to feel grateful for all the outpouring of love and good wishes from family and friends, some of whom I have never met. You know who you are...
Just wanted to share my thoughts with you today because this year, on this day, I am conscious and able to do so.......and so very, very thankful....

Have been sleeping a lot these past couple of days. Still a bit groggy from pain meds but, all and all, am feeling quite good!
The pain is quite manageable and is nothing compared to last year's pain.
Looks round 2 was a good one!
