Windows-10-Update löscht ungefragt Datei. Microsoft warnt vor Update
apparently, ms has halted the update from 10-02 because of unintended data loss. they even went so far as to advise if the update has already been downloaded to refrain from installing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been to Robin's FB page and they have announced that she has passed already. I have no words, except I am glad she is out of pain. Rest in peace, Beautiful Lady.....

Yeah, posted that in OUTSIDE!'s Tech News, but glad you posted here. They turned off the update. So it won't be distributing. I went ahead and installed it a day or two after it came out, because I had the time and wanted to get it over with. Probably a mistake on my part. Yet, I didn't lose anything that I know of (yet).

I have been informed by a close friend that Robin passed at 6:40 last evening. I have no more news than that. I'm sure we will hear more as the day goes on. I am just in shock....she so wanted those last 3-6 months and I'm sure it was to be with her closest family. If love could have saved her, she would be completely healthy....

as to robin - i really have no words but how could this have happened? as a cancer survivor there must have been followups - how could this have gone undetected till it was too late?

i know, frannie - but there was talk of surgery which was canceled at the last minute because a test the NIGHT BEFORE surgery showed the cancer was far too advanced to do anything!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Robin followed up the first few years, then she said she slacked off and didn't get her scans or blood work for awhile. It came back full force. She said she regretted NOT following up consistently, but I believe this was a very aggressive cancer that would not be stopped. She felt a lot of guilt about NOT continuing to follow up....

That's when it came back, Tibs. She was first diagnosed in 2014, they did a resection and said she needed no chemo or radiation, just scans and bloodwork. She did that for a few years, then life got in the way...they build the house of their dreams in 2016, etc.....she told me she slacked off and didn't get the scans and bloodwork until she became symptomatic again in 2017. She PREACHED to me to get my scans faithfully!!!
