I may have asked before, but... have you tried (or looked into)
"binaural beats"?
Unfortunately, it means using headphones during sleep. Room
speakers do not cut it... from what I've read.

There are posts on YouTube that go beyond 8 hours. You'd have to
look for ones that promote sleep. Some delve into "lucid dreams"
which can freak out some folk.

I don't think you ever asked me before, but, yes, have tried. No luck. There doesn't seem to be solid scientific facts behind binaural beats..mostly anecdotal. I tried them for my anxiety, too, and no luck. Thank you so much for thinking of that, though.

Pretty much the same for me, Tibs. Actually, I can fall asleep with comedies on in the background while I'm reading, but, I wake up, turn off the tv, put my book down and want complete silence. M likes white noise. I've just started using a sleep mask and sleeping ear plug. I think they may take a few days or so to get used to, but I like the complete silence when I want to sleep. Just doesn't matter what time I go to sleep. Always seem to wake up super early. I think I need to change up my evening routine and try to be a little more active a little later in the night. OR......it just IS what it IS!!maybe kat will give that a try - for myself, i have no hope. any noise, white or not, will keep me awake![]()

Good evening and goodnight Snails. Sleep well, sweet dreams and a better tomorrow for all
