That's what I was getting to.

If he needs it, get him to use that pain patch or whatever it is.
You mean the fen-------. Nope he won't touch those. He has others but none are very effective.

you must have had chemo on your mind like i do - somebody dropped the ball with bil!!!!!!!!!!!!! while his scans are clean and he's been going to appointments faithfully he was thrown for a loop tuesday. that day he asked when he finally would get his chemo schedule and was told there was no longer a point doing chemo. that should have been done 2 to 3 months after surgery. 5 months after surgery was way too late :(
Tibs, refresh my memory. What type of cancer does he have? And do you know the stage?

Yeah, I "get that". I mean the CDC just classified it as Americas most dangerous drug, or something like that.

But at a certain point, he may need it or something similar.
The chronic pain thing is nasty.

pancreatic - must have been early stage because he qualified for wipple surgery; not too many do :(
Wow, a rough one, as is the surgery. Glad he got through that. I've heard many do NOT have adjuvant chemo OR radiation after a Whipple. Pretty sure Mayo Clinic does NOT. So, he still has a lot of hope, especially if he had chemo PRIOR to Whipple. How is he doing?
Hope he keeps up with scans faithfully, to stay on top of things!

no chemo beforehand and still recuperating 5 months after. nothing works like it did before. very weak and while he is now able to eat almost like he used to his body is not getting the calories and nutrients. on the third try with yet another enzyme.

Now, THAT'S unusual. Was he treated at a Cancer Center??? I've never heard of NO chemo at all. Could be wrong, I'm sure.
