morning, atty! ;) where you able to catch a glimpse?

I glimpsed all over the place! ;)
(I don't have a telescope).

So one of those dots I saw....was probably it! ;) :p

Seriously though, there were initially some thin clouds, and there's a bit of light pollution around here, and the neighbor has his front lights on for a while, and the moon was half out. Whatever glimpse I got, wasn't great. :(

I tried to follow orion's belt and look for Jupiter and follow the lines toward an imaginary pyramid up to the comet, but it moves too relative to the constellations. So IDK.

A camera with long exposure helps. Here's a good article:

I didn't even bother. ;) But I guess I'm a Geezer too.
I have to ask here, in a "safe space".

If USA gets "Medicare For All", would people in the medical professions
become gub'mint employees? Who would pay them? Would they be paid
fairly, or get the proverbial shaft, $-wise? There's a claimed shortage of
doctors, nurses and others NOW. How does this pan out for the folks who
provide the actual services?

Nobody knows for sure because it's all theory right now, but the general intent with most flavors is that they stay as private businesses and they contract back to provide services.

They aren't now, for Medicare.

Who would pay them?
Gub'ment (us). As far as billing, that is. Their employer (hospital/doctor) would pay the employee out of the practice.

Who knows? If they don't pay em enough, we won't have any. So I suppose they will. I think it's vital to pay the docs at least. Reduces fraud incentive too.

The big gains come from things like streamlined admin costs and better negotiations. Also, why does Walgreens get cheaper vaccines than my Doc can get? Frack that. Contract with Mr. Vaccine-Man to provide shots at X dollars and distribute them. Who does that? Gubment.

every country with national healthcare handles it differently. no time right now to provide an example with germany ;) but in the end they have one thing in common - nobody falls through the cracks

Had a pretty nice day here. Got my hair cut, thought I lost a $50 bill for a gift card, retraced my steps everywhere, came home and it was stuck in the upper corner of my pocket!!!! I had already decided that maybe someone else needed it more than me. But I guess not. But the best part of my day was soon after I got home. Knock at door, opened it up and there were 2 of our DEAREST friends. One lives in Florida and the other lives north of us. We used to get together once a week and have game night. We had so many laughs for so many years, then life just happened. It was WONDERFUL to sit and reminisce with them and laugh some more. Best Christmas Gift EVER!:wub::wub::wub::wub::wub::wub::wub::wub::wub::wub:

Good evening and goodnight Snails. Sleep well, sweet dreams and a better tomorrow for all :)
