wouldn't doubt it but i'm stocked up on he2s - one of the last china adventures at less than 3 bucks each ;)

And speaking of our China adventures. That black istick 30 I got from you is still alive and kicking. Amazing little mod. I might get more of those... :lol:

    Well, thanks to help from y'all, we bought several batteries. Those Sony ones are on the expensive side, but would be nice if they last longer than several hours. I'm not a Sony fan, but I know these batteries are highly rated. Also bought a few of the LG ones on Tweety's list.

    Good evening and goodnight Snails. Sleep well, sweet dreams and a better tomorrow for all :):wub:

    All fixed.
    We have "on site" tech support at work...rather than us paying them $1500/mo they have 4 desks in our office.
    Sweet deal there ! Win-Win !!

    So, I took my stuff in this morning.
    4 hours later it's fixed. (he was doing other stuff too)
    He plugged in a USB keyboard and got to work.
    Was probably a Windows update - there was one that failed and he couldn't get it to take.
    And...there was not a back up date to use.
    He was really befuddled and running stuff and running stuff.
    But it's done - WooHoooo !!!!

    And boss gave me a keyboard to keep here at home - am using it now tho 'cause it's comfortable to not be leaning up to my 'puter stand.

    :)

    Free keyboards are da bomb!
    Glad it's working Classy.

    Did he "fix" the keyboard with the software update??????? Or is the laptop keyboard not working still (even though you want to use the new one)? Or did he mange to fix the hardware?

    (Curious)

    He finally got the laptop to take the update. It was just crazy. He was a searching and scanning machine !
    Had to submit report to Dell...etc. (don't know what if anything they said)
    Laptop works perfectly.

    night, kat! :)

    ~~~~ @ atty and classy! ;)
    atty, pretty sure her laptop keyboard is working because classy said she now prefers the usb one because it's more comfortable!
    That statement doesn't mean that the keyboard was working, it just means she likes the new one. Could have been a comparison from before it "broke". So I was unsure.
