Good Afternoon, all ye.
..........
Eye exam turned out well. (I hate hate hate the dilation thing, though.) After 3
techs all doing their own specialty, the Big Guy came in to do the intraocular stuff.
He made no mention of seeing retinal degradation (yes,
@AttyPops , I did tell the
tech about the floater) but mentioned coming back in a year for a visual field test.
Guess he wants to keep tabs on possible early signs of glaucoma. OK, fine.
So... I did press on the floater thing and he said he saw nothing alarming during
his exam. Then he asked if that was "enough". I guess I made a face and then
he said he could look further. I agreed. BACK went the chair, ON went his headgear,
OFF went the lights. More drops... told me to stare at something and IN went an
eye speculum.

The pyramid light from the Luxor Casino was brought in via
FedEx and he did a bunch of messing around. THEN the other eye. Lights on,
headgear off, chair back in position... and said there are no tears or detachments
in the retinas.
I asked how that was different than what a surgical specialist would do for any
diagnosis. "Nothing, same thing."
The one thing I did not notice was the meter running and racking up Bonu
$ Buck
$
for him for that part of the exam.
