The new office purchase that was to be merged with ours...they are on the same Management System that we have - and that company is telling us they CAN'T merge 'parent companies'. Seriously ? You MUST be joking... So not only

Well, don't accept that.

They SHOULD be able to "do a conversion"...might take some of their programmers to work on it. I'm guessing that what they're saying is that their "standard tools" just "don't do that" but they should be able to do something custom.

The thing is, that costs $$$....

In the end, "it's all data" and can be converted, particularly if they have the same system so it's apples-to-apples data. There are systems that "can't quite merge" because they don't have the proper data from the source system to merge into the destination system and can't default it or do by code...then there's a lot of manual work to "go get the data" if even possible. But in this case, it's the same system...
