No ketchup?
Not this time (reduced salt). Didn't need it either. Although putting ketchup or BBQ sauce on top isn't unheard of, I don't usually mix it in at all. Do use Worcestershire sauce though. And I added some paprika this time for fun. ;)

IMO The real critical factors for tender moist meatloaf are the milk-soaked breadcrumbs and the egg mixture. Chopped onions help too. The rest are...features. And if you want it Kosher, then use something other than milk but it won't be the same since milk tenderizes somehow.

    It was good Dale, thanks. I use lots of herbs and spices and onion and some garlic along with egg/milk and breadcrumbs.
    Started using oats in-place of breadcrumbs a few months back, got the idea from a toaster oven recipe. Gives it body firmness and its more healthier. Also love adding fresh peppers to it.
