Yesterday...
  • They will not even BEGIN until Saturday

See how they lie lie lie like rugs? Come home from ear-lowering to a call
from the dealership...

Won't start? Prolly not the spoiler, huh? :D

... saying how it's the "starter motor" (is it Saturday already???) but the part
is back-ordered.

I also requested the blower fan/motor be replaced due to excessive noise. THAT
has already been completed. Is it Saturday already???

Since it's all warranty work, I also get $35/day toward the rental.

I'd have replaced your starter motor for ya Bear! But I'm not tearing apart your damn dash, so guess you're getting a decent deal. You paid up front for that extended coverage though. Probably more than paid for itself.

I did that too, so I'm not being critical. The computer fried in mine while under warranty and replacing it more than made up for the cost of the extended warranty.

LIFETIME "Maximum Care".
I just looked for a link...

They no longer offer "lifetime". Now it's a menu plan of different deductibles
and years (but unlimited mileage).

That makes me sad. I absolutely planned to get the same warranty when the
time does come to get a new vehicle.

"
Lifetime coverage was unlimited time and unlimited miles, recently Chrysler
discovered that Lifetime contract holders on average were keeping their vehicles
seven years. These customers still needed the unlimited mile portion of the plan
so they replaced it with five, six or seven years unlimited mile choices. This helps
customers save money! So we still offer the same great Maximum Care coverage
(Bumper to Bumper) but now with a year cut off.

I've never "taken a bath" re: automobile extended warranties. They've always
paid off.

I really AM disappointed about Chrysler no longer offering the unlimited version.
So much so, I'm now willing to look at other brands. That blurb ^up^ there about
"customers save money" thing is a crock. Also, if I am WILLING to shell out x-amount
for unlimited, then please do NOT look out for my well-being. Let *ME* make that
choice. It saves THEM money... they pay out NOTHING after 7 years (max).

See, until the body of the car turns into chantilly lace due to rust, or the frame is
compromised by the same, I plan to just keep on getting warranty service. THAT
is why they did away with "lifetime". Do NOT insult me with it helping me save money.
How STUPID do THEY think we are??? It's saving THEM a bundle. Grrrr! I want to
slap them.

Unlimited years and unlimited miles? What make? It's absolutely something
on my NEED-to-have list when it comes time for a new car.

(Or were you talking "rotary phone" in your car?)
Yes, both...it's a 2011 Kia Forte XE......purchased at CarSense in 2013. Refuse to buy a new car. I love this one and it's been good to us.
Goodnight, Snailettes :) and my GorgeousGustoGutsy Bear . Sleep well, sweet dreams and a better tomorrow....
