Good morning Tibs, Fran, Dale, snails.
You too Tweety, thanks. Thanks for the good wishes everyone.
From what we can tell she's OK. It's not super sore or anything from what she's saying. It's tender, so probably just soft tissue damage. It doesn't look like she hit any "
throat structures" or anything, just bopped the bottom corner of her chin. I have no idea exactly how. She pretty much can't ever relate what happened.
I'm seriously thinking about installing those small 20 buck camera cubes in various rooms just to be able to tell/show the docs what happened.
Her recent falls have been in areas where she can't use a walker. They were 6 months apart and I could write it off as "unsteadiness". But there's been two in the last 3 weeks, all on carpet. I've blocked off the previous one so she won't even walk there. But this one, by her bed, IDK. May have to rearrange her bedroom to move the bed against the wall so she can run the walker around. But the thing is, she won't use the walker anyway. And it's hard to teach a person with dementia new things. So, yeah. If she gets more unsteady and falls more, IDK what to do. May have to go into a home for her own safety. I can help her when we walk somewhere, but I can't be there 100% of the time if she decides to walk around on her own. I'm going to try to push/encourage the walker again. I do it every time, and she uses it for a day and gives up!
I'm sure Tibby can relate to the fall-thing, but for slightly different reasons. It all sucks.
