What is the fascination with curved shower curtain/liner rods??? Don't
tubs and showers have STRAIGHT sides??? Why does it need to curve???

(Looking to "refresh" the look of the outside/inside bathtub/shower.)

How is the outside of the curve supported? What keeps it from flopping
    down?

    Atty's Answer [tm]: Set screws.

Do I go with the hangers with dual hooks?... or do I go with a dual rod?

    I'm leaning toward dual rod.

Current: single rod with one track of hooks for the liner and a separate track of hooks
for the curtain. But that configuration appears to be extinct.

BTW: Target does not carry Rubbermaid bathtub mats any longer. Even Rubbermaid,
themselves, no longer MAKE the 39" long tub mats with the drain cut-out. (That was
not 33 years ago, Tibs. Probably 2 years, but I did buy an extra. The UPC does not exist,
    even on Google.)

    Amazon is no help.

Bathtub mats can be machine-washed. I toss it in with 2 weeks worth of bath towels.
The towels act to scrub the bath mat, top and bottom. Does a good job and does not
degrade/deform the suction cups. I then put everything through a second rinse/spin.

Front-load washer, if that makes any difference.

    nope, atty's answer
    He hasn't answered yet. :)

But really... what supports the outside of the curve?

It's like a bow window for your bathtub/shower. Why???

To be honest... my mind has wandered to replacing the current tub/shower
with a walk-in model. NOT getting any younger and my plan is that they will
carry me out of THIS HOUSE feet-first. Invest in the future of our old dad bods.

Not all tubs are rectangles, Bear. Could be that.
    LOL!!!

Hubs and I are in a circa 1964 house, Atty!!! Like we aspire to curves and odd angles. It's a tub
and shower where dirt, dead skin cells, soap and shampoo land.

But yeah... search for "shower curtain rods" and see what pops up (in the majority).

    Curves!!!

careful there if you're thinking about a tub! plenty of negatives. walk-in showers a different story ;)
Not in the last 33 years.

btw those curved rods originally showed up to accommodate the claw-foot tubs ;)
