nope ;) they would have based it on 2018.
No Tibs

They'll get the checking account info from either 2018 or 2019. But if you made too much money in 2019, you don't qualify. They have to have some estimate of how much you made.

They have that for most people due to quarterly tax reporting and/or FICA deductions from your weekly, bi-weekly or monthly check. Or for those on social-programs, they know what they get.

There are some situations where people get a stimulus, but shouldn't, and they may go ask for that back too. And then there are people like me that they can't tell until I file my taxes due to relaxed annual tax reporting requirements for things like for LLC's.

That site was crap in telling WHY they "couldn't determine". But once I filed my taxes, they COULD determine. ;)

coincidence ;) they are way behind in getting everybody in the system. i just recently got in and so did the boy - no 2019 filed yet. as a matter of fact people were advised not to file 2019 if they made less in 2018.
it's based on your agi so they won't even look at anything else - only line 8b from either 2018 or 2019 ;)

Uh, "if they made less in 2018"?

lol

I mean, hell, if you made anywhere near what is required to not-qualify, you're required to file. And they CAN ask for it back if you don't qualify somehow.

Now I'll have to find the legislation. ;)

guess there are people who had a better year in 2019 than 2018. the irs will accept the agi from 2018 if you have not filed for 2019. and no, they won't ask for the money back if your 2019 return, once you file it, turns out to decrease your allowance :D

guess it's that time ;)
goodnight and sweet dreams to all!

The whole thing is kind of stupid. In that I mean, they could have just given everyone with an SS# 1000 bucks like the Dems originally wanted. Why all the "rules"? Because people that make 74K "stimulate" better than those that make >100K?
since when does anything get done the simple way? ;)

gone now!
