Gosh Atty :( Doesn’t pay to be helpful does it
It doesn't! No good deed goes unpunished.

It lasted two days.
It looks like this (not 100% sure this is the exact one, but it looks like it is):

Now, I admit someone may have "smacked" it somehow, but it's pretty flimsy there at that bend too.

atty, take that plastic thing down and tell her to take it back to lowe's ;)
    That might be plan B.
But I'm so not in the mood today, and further, I'd have to dig a new hold and get more cement, and do it all over again. So I'm going to try to reinforce it at the weak point and see if it lasts. That could be bad, due to Winter freezing the ground, but since there's 22" of post above road level, I can always rig something up in the Winter if need be. I'm too ticked right now.

There was a county road crew working near there (next lot over) with heavy equipment, and then there's the mail lady and other cars, IDK what hit it, but something did. And it cracked it at the weak point. I'll reinforce for now, I don't have time today to do much else.

And I'm so ...... about it, since I was absolutely clear that she should go LOOK at pricing and ask, not buy something. To be fair, she was biased by the previous (wooden) pole that she used to have and her and some gal from the store put an order together on their own, and she purchased that round pole plastic thing. But it was a bad move, and I'm stupid enough to install it anyway. And I don't feel like doing it again right now.
