    No you can't
    P.S.
Happy Winter, snails. ;) (21st the the Winter Solstice and official start of Winter. Also the shortest day of the year.)
See what FAKENEWS has you believing... ;)

The earliest sunsets actually occur in the first weeks of December, at least two weeks before the solstice. Conversely, the latest sunrises occur two weeks after the solstice in early January.

This occurs because of the Earth's tilt on its axis and the rate at which the Earth spins.

We all learned in elementary school that each day is 24 hours long, but it turns out that's actually an average for the overall year.

Sigh. Earliest/Latest are in terms of THE CLOCK. But "shortest/longest" is the measure of minutes of daylight.

This day, the solstice, is when the sun is furthest "South" from our hemisphere's perspective, and it is sitting as "low south" as it will get. It has the fewest minutes of daylight regardless of the time of sunrise and sunset. BUT...now it starts moving up higher again, and will be at the highest in the sky at the summer solstice.

    From your link:
In the mid-latitudes, the winter solstice is commonly referred to as the "shortest day of the year" because it has the least amount of daylight.

But it was an interesting link. :)
