We sure have had our share of storms here in the last few days, but between storms, the sun comes out brightly and about 10 minutes later, it is pouring rain with a vengeance.
Had errands to run this weekend and finished successfully without getting too wet.....raincoat buffered a lot of it.
Had a meeting last night and I braved it, but it must have been during a rain respite, cause dry as I went, and dry as I came home.

Took a nap and woke up at day break. Ever since dawn been playing - experimenting with my new solar generator and one solar panel I got yesterday for this very purpose.
Very disappointed in solar charging. The solar panel is a 50 watt panel and where I live the most I gotten out of it was 24 watts for about 20 min, right this moment its down to 12.5 watts. In an emergency situation or daily situation charging from panels wont work for me. If anything I might pickup a 35 Ah batteries seen the internet for $50.00 there sell for $75. Each battery purchased would extend the capacity 150 watts per battery. Few days of lights and small tv.
My NEW opinion of solar is worse than it was was. Unfortunately I invested a few hundred dollars to find out these new PERSONAL solar generators have one purpose - tailgating or living in a van. For the life of me I can not figure out why anyone should/would buy one of these units. Its commercialize at its best. Convince us what we need than supply the product.

Good morning folks (or afternoon for a few). Just popped in to share a couple photos I took of my mother's blooming amaryllis plants. There are two stalks, each with four blossoms.
Each individual blossom measures 7-inches across! I don't know if 7" is unusual for this plant, but they're huge.
