i think your mom has the amaryllis 'apple blossoms' - and yes, they get huge flowers, up to 8'' across. beautiful plant!
Beautiful.Good morning folks (or afternoon for a few). Just popped in to share a couple photos I took of my mother's blooming amaryllis plants. There are two stalks, each with four blossoms.
Each individual blossom measures 7-inches across! I don't know if 7" is unusual for this plant, but they're huge.
